how to clean
How should I de-scale my appliances?
Descale the heating reservoir regularly using white vinegar only. Ensure the device is cold and not connected to the electrical outlet; pour a mixture of 3.4 ounces (100 ml) of water and 3.4 ounces (100 ml) of white vinegar into the heating reservoir. Leave for the night and then empty. Repeat the operation if necessary until all the lime has been removed. Connect the device to the electrical outlet and then complete two (2) heating cycles using water only in the heating reservoir (3 measures – 5 ounces/150 ml) in order to rinse it well. Then clean the bowl and accessories with warm, soapy water. Never use a chemical descaler or a coffee machine descaler in the heating reservoir.
Does the Babycook seal have to be regularly changed?
If the seal is always properly cleaned (not suitable for dishwasher) and properly positioned, there is no need to change it. However it may suffer some wear and tear, so check that it is not flaking on occasion.
There is fine brown silt at the bottom of my heating tank. What is it?
If you notice a brown deposit (lime scale) in your heating tank, it is time to de-scale your appliance. Please note, this is not toxic to your infant.
